Happy Birthday T-Man

It is hard to believe that Tommy is 2. It has gone by so quick. While we are re-learning how to take care of a baby with Kate, it seems like it was just yesterday that we were coming home from the hospital with Tom. Below are a few things about the little dude on his second birthday.

  • He calls his sister Cake (short for Kate).
  • His favorite meal consists of pickles. (only pickles)
  • His Dad bribes him with M&Ms
  • His Mom constantly wipes his hands with hand sanitizer
  • He likes to pull Tillie's tale and then when dad says that is not nice, he kisses her in the bum
  • Calls Grandma Dubow Papa but calls Grandpa Dubow Grandpa
We had a party today for Tommy at an indoor playground in Lawrence, MA. About 20 kids showed up. It was a great time.

Can this be comfortable?

Kate thinks so

Not sure what this is about

Sqeaky Clean

We finally got around to giving Kate her first bath......she wasn't that stinky ;) As you can see in the video Mom, Dad, Tommy and Grandma also needed a bath.

Wednesday Night Thoughts

  • At LGH they gave us a handy little pamphlet that describes the different things to watch for during the first couple of days....how many poops & pees per day, color of poop, how often to feed, etc. One thing it does not tell you to watch for is the explosive/projectile poop during diaper changes on the 2nd day home from the hospital. Amy got hit BIG TIME by Kate during a diaper change the other day. The funny thing is that the same exact thing happened to Amy 2 years ago via Tommy's poop shooter.
  • Tommy is slowly adjusting to Kate. A couple of times has he tried to pull Kate off of Amy. Every so often, he tells Kate to "go-go" ......but for the most part he has been a good big brother. He really likes to help mom and dad with Kate. His favorite part of helping out is giving Kate her binky....or shoving it in her face and then when Kate does not take it, he gladly sucks on the binky.
  • Tommy has given Grandma Dubow the name "Papa". Papa (Grandma) is working hard to get Tommy to change from Papa to Grandma, but it looks like Papa is going to stick.
  • Amy's birthday was the same day as Mother's day. Amy got a Dyson - It really sucks
  • Taking care of two small children is not the equivalent of taking care of 1 small child plus another small child. It is closer to taking care of 15 small children high on sugar.
  • And some pics....

Nothing feels better than a baby sleeping on your chest. Here is a pic of Kate and Tommy around the same age. Kate is the first pic and Tommy is the second.
